WARNING: Lithium Batteries

DO NOT attempt to recharge lithium batteries with this charger!

Lithium Ion batteries have higher voltages and are not supported in this charger at all - even for discharge testing.

Lithium primaries (e.g. Energizer Ultimate Lithium) may be discharged in this charger, but you must be careful not to recharge them. Lithium primaries are definitely not rechargeable and may well explode if they are recharged!

If you want to discharge lithium primaries, you may want to effectively disable NiZn support by setting the detection voltages higher (e.g. 2.00 V) so that they're discharged down to 0.90 V. Disabling NiZn support doesn't guarantee that the charger won't attempt to charge lithium primaries, so you should still exercise caution when dealing with them.

You could if you added two resistor (one for each slot) on the empty pads by the ADC. This would create a voltage divider to monitor the higher voltages. Even so, you would still need to do a lot of programing and over all I just don't suggest playing with lithium chemistries on this charger.

Yep - that just applies to rechargeable lithium ion batteries only. Anyone going down that road is completely on their own as my firmware doesn't support this change.

This doesn't change the risks of recharging lithium primaries however!

yeah, in general, who ever is reading this... just don't do it!
