Is the project abandoned?

Seems anything associate with Paul Allen had stopped after 2015, even his own blog have no update at all. I'm waiting to the 4 slot version that can charge 3A battery, anyone can give more details?

Re: Charger's hardware / firmware version

You almost certainly have a V3 charger unless Paul sent it to you a while ago. There are a couple of ways of telling: V1 = No LCD and standard sized SD card slot underneath V2 = LCD Charger V3 = No LCD and micro SD card slot If you start the charger with a memory card inserted, it will create a log...

Re: Manager Software

Hi Mark, May I suggest a versioning system on the USC Manager (filename or main screen)? I've been using PC from DOS to Win7, really confused when the software update with no version information, I have to check the file date to make sure not overwriting a newer version. Thank you very much. Johnson

Charger's hardware / firmware version

Hi,

How to check the hardware and firmware version?
I'm not sure my charger is V1 or V2, logically without LCD should be V1, can I determine by this?

Rgds,
Johnson.

Re: Video

Hello, Thank you! All response really helping, I'm not sure my Win7 PC have anything wrong, I've tried several time with different USB port, but still not working, but one of the USB port did find the name "FTDI 231x UART", so I search Internet and downloaded the "CDM v2.12.10 WHQL Certified" driver...

Re: Video

Hi,

Tried 3 cables, really 2 of them got no response from the PC, last one seems connected, check the device manager and found "unknown device".

I don't have more microUSB cables since I use iPhone, need to find another one to test.

Rgds,
Johnson.

Re: Video

Actually, it could be a micro USB cable that you need - Paul did mention to me previously that he was looking at changing to micro USB. My board don't have it. I've sent a message to Paul via Kickstarter. It should be automatically detected as a COM port. You could try emailing Paul directly, or if...

Re: Video

Hi Mark,

My board Paul sent me have no mini USB port, the only USB port is microUSB for power.
I've tried to connect it to PC, and it doesn't become COM port.
So should I email Paul and ask?

Rgds,
Johnson.

Re: Video

Hi Mark, I found that connect to PC is not simple as I thought. My board got no pins (the blog's one have 4 or 5 pins), I guess (though no version info) it's new version, should be able to use the USB port directly, but is the cable special? I found no detail information from the forum and Paul's Bl...

Hi, May I suggest making video of the LED status? It's not that simple to determine what kind of the charging status even I read the forum (forgive me for not studying the English good enough). I think the LCD panel should solve the problem but sadly Paul got lot of faulty units, and unexpected dela...
